Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Drone Flight Operations Specialist to oversee the setup, maintenance, and disassembly of our operational sites, referred to as nests. This role is crucial in maintaining a high standard of safety and operational efficiency. While collaboration is key, the position also requires a significant degree of autonomy in executing tasks.

Essential Skills:

  • Serve as a mobile Field Service Officer, conducting resupply missions and providing support to deployed personnel. A valid US driving license is essential.
  • Skilled in utilizing IT systems for interaction with corporate platforms.
  • Open to working outdoors in diverse weather conditions throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections of aircraft, including pre-flight and post-flight evaluations, alongside daily operational duties.
  • Adhere to standard aircraft maintenance protocols as outlined in the Wing UAS Maintenance Manual.
  • Examine nest equipment, execute pre-flight and post-flight assessments, and manage routine operational responsibilities.
  • Replace nest equipment as directed by the Wing when necessary.
  • Engage in Crew Briefings and maintain effective communication with the Wing Pilot-in-Command.

Job Requirements:

  • Conduct aircraft inspections, including pre-flight and post-flight evaluations, and daily operational tasks.
  • Follow established aircraft maintenance procedures in accordance with the Wing UAS Maintenance Manual.
  • Inspect nest equipment, perform pre-flight and post-flight checks, and oversee daily operational activities.
  • Replace nest equipment as required by the Wing.
  • Participate in Crew Briefings and ensure communication with the Wing Pilot-in-Command is maintained.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Gather and present field data regarding wireless networks during site surveys and post-installation visits.
  • Ability to perform basic network cabling tasks on a site-specific basis.
  • Recognize telephony equipment such as CSU/DCU, smart jacks, 66 & 110 blocks, and other essential network components.
  • Manually execute cross-connect functions on telephony blocks and patch panels.
  • Utilize computer systems to manage and update database information on network management devices.
