Clinical Support Specialist

Job Overview: Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Specialist to assist with clinical duties at our outpatient care site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for greeting patients, recording vital signs, and preparing patient billings.
About the Role: This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for a Medical Assistant II to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. If you have previous experience in office or outpatient settings, graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and certification from a recognized organization, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, prepare rooms and equipment for procedures and exams.
- Take and record vital signs, inform providers of patient vital signs and concerns.
- Recognize and treat emergency patients as a priority, assist with patient examinations and treatments.
- Handle patient situations over the phone, schedule appointments and procedures with medical professionals.
- Register new patients, establish medical records.
- Prepare patient billings, assist patients with forms and insurance.
- Supply authorized information to third-party payors.
- Instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
- Collect and process routine laboratory specimens.
- Operate and maintain clinical equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique, including sterilization, disinfection, and disposal of contaminated material.
- Clean, wrap, and autoclave instruments, care for supplies and equipment.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
