We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraeducator to join our team at the Granite School District. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in the instruction and supervision of students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and implementing lesson plans.
- Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and academic guidance.
- Administer various assessments and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and data on student performance.
- Support a positive and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure seamless collaboration.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 48 hours of college credit or passing the ParaPro exam (if working in a Title 1 school).
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
The work setting is primarily in the classroom, with occasional requests to work outside the building. The ability to stand, walk, and move around the classroom is essential. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds.
