The Role

We are seeking a part-time Apprentice Cashier to join our team at our Burlingame location. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, processing sales at the register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process sales at the register, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions
  • Scan items accurately and efficiently, with a focus on properly identifying produce items
  • Handle customer transactions, including handling money and providing change
  • Bag groceries for customers and provide carry-out service as needed
  • Retrieve baskets and carts from the sales floor and restock shelves
  • Clean up and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and directing customers to product locations
  • Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and provide customers with information on product locations
  • Restock inventory, conduct price checks, and take return products back to their proper shelf locations
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Detailed-oriented and able to multitask
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new technology and adapt to changing situations
  • Available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range

$18.25/hour, depending on industry experience
