Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic team at Carthage Area Hospital. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and updating medical records
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
