Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients in a sobering center setting. The successful candidate will possess a basic understanding of client/patient treatment plans, monitor and document client/patient behavior, and provide a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure adherence to program expectations and rules, reporting behaviors to the supervisor to facilitate therapeutic interventions.
  2. Participate as an active member of the treatment team, identifying client strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
  3. Document and/or report exceptional behavior and/or areas of concern related to client interactions.
  4. Assist in the admission/orientation process, including vital sign collection, safety searches, and specimen collection.
  5. Coordinate incoming calls and respond to crisis calls as necessary.
  6. Assist in orienting clients/patients to client rights and rules under the supervision of the assigned supervisor.
  7. Ensure all clients/patients are accounted for and precaution protocols are adhered to.
  8. Monitor general health conditions of clients/patients and adhere to medication policies.
  9. Provide client/patient transportation as needed.
  10. Maintain a standard of behavior consistent with agency expectations and program philosophy.
  11. Complete mandatory training within the required timeframe and attend staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and training sessions as requested.
  12. Be knowledgeable and adhere to all program policies.
  13. Screen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure safety and recovery needs are met.
  14. Demonstrate interest in long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Two years of responsible employment history.
  • Certified EMT with current license.
  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation and all training requirements, including Relias.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Obtain CPR certification within three months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
  • Behavioral Management training completed within thirty days of employment or first available class after start date.
  • Achievement of thirty-six hour training requirements within a two-year period in accordance with 9 CSR E 1.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Must be at least twenty-three years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen-passenger van.
Physical Requirements

This role requires sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shifts are also required.
