Position Summary

The Ground Paramedic plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care to individuals served by Life Flight Network. This position involves the safe operation of ground ambulances and adherence to established protocols and guidelines. The Ground Paramedic is expected to work varied shifts and may be called upon to cover on-call duties as needed. Occasionally, driving personal or company vehicles may be required to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Paramedic, ideally in a metropolitan setting.
  • Current licensure and/or certification as specified below:
    • Paramedic certification relevant to the assigned location.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
    • State-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
    • Strong leadership capabilities and effective communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Quality:
  • Deliver age-appropriate care (Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and thorough patient care documentation in line with LFN standards.
  • Assist in cleaning and restocking equipment promptly.
  • Participate in inventory management and maintenance of operational equipment.
  • Engage in daily operational activities of LFN.
  • Compile statistical data or contribute to related projects as directed by management.
Safety:
  • Ensure the safe operation of vehicles to protect patients, crew members, and on-scene personnel.
  • Uphold LFN safety policies and support ambulance operations.
  • Foster a positive public perception of LFN through interactions with patients and community partners.
  • Provide educational outreach to the public as requested.
