Job Summary

As a Pharmacist at Avera, you will provide pharmaceutical care to patients, working directly with them to provide services in a compassionate manner. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive patient information.


Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication-related activities with definite outcomes intended to improve patient quality of life.
  • Accept personal responsibility and accountability for patient outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all customers.
  • Utilize effective problem-solving skills as appropriate.
  • Convey enthusiasm and sincerity and promote Avera McKennan and its services in a positive manner to all customers.
  • Support Avera Health/Avera McKennan through the daily application of our mission, vision, core values, and social principles while providing quality care and service to our patients, their families, coworkers, physicians, volunteers, and the communities we serve.
  • Be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform duties in a manner consistent with Safety Principles.
  • Coordinate work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment.
  • May be involved in organization committees.

Requirements

Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred. Pharmacist licensure in the state in which they work (South Dakota) is required.
