We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at UPMC Magee-Womens Surgical Associates in Altoona, PA. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients suffering from breast health issues. Our comprehensive services include breast cancer treatment, prevention, and management.

About the Position

  • You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective care plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Your responsibilities will include performing patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient progress and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicating effectively with patients and families, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a physician assistant in a clinical setting is required.
  • National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing, and current CPR certification are required.
