Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) team at St. Francis Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement education plans for NICU staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in neonatal care.
  • Collect, submit, evaluate, and disseminate required data to ensure compliance with state and national standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
  • Current certification by the State Board of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization (i.e. the NCC).
  • Three years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care, including at least one year in a NICU equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU.
  • NRP certificate upon hire and maintain current; NRP Instructor preferred.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Estimated Salary Range: $77,584.00 to $123,510.00 per year, based on experience, skillset, and location.
