Job Summary:

Zoetis is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our capital project management team, you will be responsible for managing all phases of capital project management from conceptual estimate and design to construction, commissioning, start-up, and close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Provide data on project scope, financial spending forecast, and schedule development. Research alternative solutions to offer the customer the lowest cost option while maintaining compliance with all codes and agencies.
  • Interfacing with Stakeholders: Interact with management and site 'customer' groups to establish and define requirements for assigned facilities, utilities, packaging, and manufacturing projects.
  • Documentation and Procurement: Prepare and manage project documentation, including design documentation, change control documentation, and qualification documentation. Procure and track project equipment and services purchases.
  • Maintenance and Reliability: Arrange for training of maintenance and operating personnel and obtain and distribute testing, certification, validation, 'as-built,' spare parts, operating or maintenance manual documentation, and drawings. Work closely with the Reliability Engineer to develop Life Cycle Cost.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • PMP Certification or PE License (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to values-based leadership and achieving objectives in a manner that is supportive of the Zoetis Core Beliefs.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the Zoetis organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
  • Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures.
  • Lifting and carrying of 5 to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
