Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level II to join our team in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
This is a 36-hour per week position with a 12-hour shift schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, assisting with peri-operative care of patients, and working closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of sterile techniques and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up and cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Assist with peri-operative care of patients, including preparing patients for surgery and providing support during the procedure.
- Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sterile techniques and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required.
- Preferred experience: Associate degree, 4 years' experience as Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting, committee and leadership experience, and Basic Life Support (BSLS).
