About the Role

Cox Communications is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities to customers
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
  • Assist with the opening and closing of store retail environments
  • Properly handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
  • Support fellow sales agents and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training classes
What We Offer

As a Retail Sales Associate at Cox Communications, you can expect a competitive hourly pay rate of $26.25/hour, plus an annual incentive/commission target of $17,652.00. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 16 hours of paid time off per month, seven paid holidays, and additional paid time off for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer work, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college experience preferred
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively sell products and influence customer decisions
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products and services
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to manage stock room inventory
