Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory testing, analyzing quality control and instrument maintenance, and adhering to regulatory compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing and analysis, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct quality control and instrument maintenance, making judgments and taking appropriate action.
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance guidelines and maintain awareness of accreditation standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement opportunities and support business development initiatives.
  • Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communicating effectively.

Requirements

  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and strong technical skills.
  • Passionate about patient care and requires a minimum of two years of current Medical Lab Technologist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Medical Laboratory program and active unencumbered Louisiana Med Lab Technologist state license.
  • One year of Epic experience and required - Current license or temporary license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist in the state of practice.
  • Meet CLIA and CAP requirements for testing personnel relative to scope of duties and ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist.
