Chronic pain can profoundly impact a child's overall well-being and emotional health. Our ideal candidate is not only a highly skilled medical professional but also a compassionate caregiver dedicated to alleviating the suffering of pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive pain management services tailored to the needs of young patients.
  • Conduct thorough consultations and assessments to devise suitable treatment strategies.
  • Prescribe and oversee medication regimens aimed at pain alleviation.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on effective pain management practices and self-care techniques.
  • Regularly update service plans, ensuring they reflect the evolving needs of patients while obtaining necessary consents.
  • Comply with all documentation protocols, ensuring timely submission of progress notes, service plans, and logs.
  • Complete progress notes within three days of service delivery to facilitate prompt supervisory approval.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Pediatrician or
  • Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with a focus on Pediatrics or
  • Board Certified Family Medicine Physician or
  • Nurse Practitioner with Pain Management Certification (ACHPN; RN-BC) under the supervision of a qualified Pediatrician or Medical Physician.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience working with medically fragile populations.
  • At least one year of clinical experience with pediatric patients, preferably in end-of-life care.
  • Expertise in various pain management techniques, including interventional procedures and medication management.
