About the Job

The Commander, Navy Installations is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join its team. This role is responsible for providing quality and timely housekeeping services to guests and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Restock supplies, including toiletries and linens.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient housekeeping operation.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as required, including cleaning windows, carpets, and upholstery.

Requirements
  • 6 months of experience working in a housekeeping or custodial role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
