Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Storage Solutions Architect, you will oversee the management of storage services across diverse environments, delivering effective solutions for storage-related challenges.

You will be expected to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on both mitigation and prevention of storage issues. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adept at planning, and possess excellent communication skills. This role may involve on-call support or occasional after-hours availability for installation and troubleshooting assistance.

What You Will Do:

- Provide support for storage system troubleshooting and solution development, collaborating with program personnel to integrate solutions into storage configurations for permanent resolutions.

- Manage storage configurations for upgrades in both physical and virtual environments.

- Maintain and update Storage Design Documentation.

- Support and oversee storage configurations for various storage devices, including SAN, NAS, and scale-out object storage.

Configurations Include:

- Types of storage systems to be installed, physical and virtualized storage setups, and presentation of storage to the overall system.

- Liaise with vendors for hardware and software installation and troubleshooting as necessary.

- Collaborate with System Administrators and other engineering teams for the implementation of storage configurations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.


- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.

- Must be able to obtain Comp TIA Security + Certification within 90 days of employment.

- Proven experience in designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Network Attached Storage Systems (e.g., Dell, IBM, NetApp).

- Familiarity with fiber channel configurations on storage, fiber channel switches, tape libraries, and servers, including multipath configurations.

- Experience with enterprise backup architecture, focusing on cohesive backup solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with containerized storage solutions such as PVC/OCP/Kubernetes.

- Background in automation design and implementation using Unix/Linux command-line shell scripts.

- Ability to create informative charts and diagrams to illustrate storage system configurations and designs.

- Experience in coordinating deliveries to sites.

- Current Security+ certification.
