Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant with X-ray license to join our team. As a champion of patient care, you will provide expertise and support to our patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care. Your role will involve taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections. You will also perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and update patient charts accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
  • Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and update patient charts accordingly.
  • Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
  • Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
  • Maintain records and logs on activities, including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
  • Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
  • Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
  • Limited Practical Radiology Technician (RPT or LPRT) license is required in state of residency.
  • Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
  • Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
  • Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
