Position: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that resident meal choices align with prescribed dietary requirements, including texture, allergies, nutritional needs, age, cultural background, and religious practices.
  • Develop and adjust menus based on resident preferences and dietary requirements using established guidelines.
  • Conduct visits with residents to evaluate their satisfaction with meals.
  • Communicate any diet orders and modifications to the Food Service Director.
  • Generate and manage food service reports, including meal census and food tally reports.
  • Document all relevant data such as client meal census and stock requests using logs or spreadsheets.
  • Address resident requests and complaints or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with meal delivery services, including assembling patient trays and distributing meals to residents.
  • Participate in care plan meetings.
  • Input notes into the Point Click Care (PCC) system.
  • Resolve issues related to patient trays.
  • Provide general dietary information using approved resources.
  • Monitor residents for significant weight changes.

Qualifications / Skills:
  • Expertise in dietary health promotion and maintenance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong listening skills, analytical abilities, and a focus on quality.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in food, nutrition, food service management, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Completion of an Accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
  • Food Handler's permit or ServeSafe certification as required by state regulations.
