Position Overview for RN Med Surg Full Time Nights:

Under the supervision of the nursing staff, the Registered Nurse will perform essential duties that include delivering patient care to support daily living activities and managing equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting vital signs and intake/output measurements. The RN will assist licensed personnel and physicians as needed, adhering to established protocols. Additional related tasks may be assigned as necessary. The RN is accountable for addressing the fundamental needs of all assigned patients, providing care across a diverse patient demographic from infants to seniors, unless specified otherwise. Collaboration with the healthcare team is crucial, with a focus on customer service and achieving departmental and hospital objectives. Quality care must be delivered in accordance with recognized standards and guidelines relevant to the assigned areas. Flexibility to float to other comparable nursing units may be required.

Qualifications for the RN Med Surg Full Time Nights Position:

The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role. Educational and Professional Requirements:

Minimum Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum Experience: A minimum of six months of relevant work experience is preferred.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and/or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited nursing program with the intention to pursue a nursing degree is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is also mandatory.
