Data Center Engineer with AI Training Expertise

Job Description:

Server Room Management:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of a 4-rack server room, ensuring optimal environmental conditions for server performance.
  • Monitor server health and performance, addressing any hardware or software issues promptly.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Linux System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on all servers.
  • Perform regular system updates and security patches.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or other automation tools.

AI Training Management:

  • Set up and maintain infrastructure for AI model training, including GPU servers.
  • Optimize hardware and software configurations for efficient AI training.
  • Monitor and manage resource allocation to ensure efficient use of computational resources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and AI researchers to support their computational needs.

Network Management:

  • Configure and manage network switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network security and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement network monitoring tools to maintain high availability and performance.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as data security and privacy.
