About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project management for large-scale projects or manage smaller projects independently.
  • Prepare and oversee roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards, including horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout, and sight distance determination.
  • Use 3D modeling software to develop and review designs.
  • Prepare and oversee contract plans, specifications, and estimates, including roadway sections, alignment/right of way plans, temporary erosion control plans, and site preparation plans.
  • Assist in preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules, and communicate with clients, support junior engineers, and write reports and technical memos.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD engineering software, such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer, and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, and preparation of concept alignments and geometrical layout plans.
