About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Image Processing Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background in image processing, software, electronics, and optics, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design and test firmware on embedded platforms, such as Raspberry Pi, to automate processes and improve product functionality with direct impact on the customer experience.
  • Use your expertise in electronics, sensors, and optics/RFID systems to ensure high-quality image capture and processing, adapting solutions based on customer feedback.
  • Develop and refine image processing and pattern recognition algorithms, implementing these in C/C++ and optimizing for embedded platforms based on end-user feedback.
  • Apply statistical methods and Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate system performance and reliability, focusing on enhancing features that directly benefit customers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in image processing or embedded systems, with a focus on customer-facing roles or projects.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and automation techniques for embedded platforms.
  • Strong understanding of MS Visual Studio and experience with Raspberry Pi or similar systems.
  • Solid foundation in electronics, sensors, and basic optics or RFID technology, with an ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience. Brady offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, and education reimbursement opportunities.
