  2. Team Leadership: Assemble and guide project teams to achieve defined objectives. Ensure timely delivery of projects within established scope and budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  3. Effective Communication: Implement robust communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about project progress. Foster collaboration among project sponsors, leadership, and team members.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Provide recommendations for addressing issues as they arise.
  5. Project Recovery: Take charge of troubled projects by assessing challenges and implementing corrective measures. Establish new project baselines as necessary.
  6. Mentorship: Promote project management best practices by offering guidance and support to IT and research personnel.
  7. Reporting: Create and deliver presentations, reports, and dashboards that outline project status and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications

Essential:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, information systems, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of five years of relevant project management experience, including at least two years in a dedicated project management role.
  3. Proven experience in IT project work, including application development and major technology deployments.
  4. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, particularly in IT contexts, including Agile practices.
  5. Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Preferred:

  1. Advanced degree in project management or related disciplines.
  2. Experience with Agile project management frameworks.
  3. Relevant certifications in project management or information security.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  5. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
