Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic Specialist

The Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic Specialist is a critical role within our team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of medium to heavy-duty diesel fleet equipment. With competitive pay and benefits, this position offers opportunities for growth in a safe and inclusive environment.

The Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic Specialist performs preventative maintenance of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Completing and performing preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment
- Ensuring equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as roadworthy
- Documenting work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through an online management system
- Installing, replacing, and repairing onboard computers
- Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
- Performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Training/providing guidance to other Mechanics
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience
