Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients in the Acute Care G200 unit. This role involves taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, and observing patients for physical and emotional changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective basic care to patients, including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living
- Collect specimens and observe patients for physical and emotional changes
- Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care
- May function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed
Requirements:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant certification
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider certification
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Experience in supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients
