Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Support the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification required
- At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
- Successful completion of Fresenius Medical Care North America's dialysis training program and CPR certification required
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.
