About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for analyzing and preparing complete boundary surveys, performing quality control reviews, and providing accurate computations for layout and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.
  • Perform quality control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide accurate computations for the layout of subdivisions, roads, and lots, as well as buildings and utilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents.
  • Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field, and/or other tasks on more complex projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans.
  • Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
  • Monitor the work efforts of assigned staff, including sub-consultants and/or contractors.
Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center).
  • Proficient with various data techniques and coding systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of various surveying instruments, techniques, and computations.
  • Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
