Mastronardi Produce Limited is a leading greenhouse operation dedicated to cultivating high-quality produce year-round. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Hygiene Operations Specialist to uphold and enforce our sanitation standard operating procedures along with relevant food safety regulations.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 5:00am-1:30pm, with occasional Saturdays as required.

Compensation:
$1450 hourly rate

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the sanitation washroom in a clean and hygienic state, ensuring safe operation of all equipment according to established protocols.
• Handle and mix cleaning and sanitizing agents as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize greenhouse equipment to prevent contamination of produce.
• Monitor, document, and report on Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and other HACCP prerequisite programs as necessary.
• Oversee equipment and supplies to ensure the successful completion of departmental tasks.
• Provide training and support to both departmental and non-departmental staff as needed.
• Conduct daily cleaning of pack-house, cooler, and communal areas.
• Execute scheduled cleaning of the pack-house and follow procedures for removing broken glass.
• Maintain inventory of cut gloves by sorting and restocking as required.
• Clean and drain dumpsters as necessary and assist as a backup housekeeper when needed.
• Cross-train and assist in various departmental areas as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
• One to three years of experience in the sanitation sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and their application.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques and company-specific sanitation procedures.
• Basic understanding of operational and preventive maintenance of dispensers.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Requires bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and repetitive motions.
• May work in proximity to moving equipment and should be comfortable around bees.
