Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer orders, shipping requests, or inventory requisitions to identify items for selection and dispatch.
  • Transport materials and products from receiving or storage areas to shipping zones or other designated locations.
  • Compile customer orders from inventory and organize them on pallets or in designated bins.
  • Package all items following proper protocols to avoid damage, ensuring packing slips are included with each shipment.
  • Process shipments through approved carriers, including online services.
  • Label packages accurately and complete the shipping process by placing packing slips in the designated areas.
  • Confirm the accuracy of items in each order.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Support other warehouse functions as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in using a tape gun for sealing packages.
  • Familiarity with UPS tracking systems for package labeling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
  • Physical ability to stoop, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand safety protocols, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two to four years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience with personal computing equipment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, or forklifts is preferred.
