Job Summary

Penn Apartment Staffing is seeking a skilled EPA Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and perform all necessary repairs to the apartment community, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical.
  • Manage community upkeep/maintenance needs and oversee the performance of the maintenance team.
  • Work closely with the property manager to ensure all property compliance and projects are executed accordingly.
  • Close service requests upon completion and document maintenance updates.
  • Conduct daily property walks, document deficiencies, and ensure the property and premises are well maintained.
  • Responsible for the proper turnover of move-outs and manage vendors providing turnover services.
  • Ensure compliance with all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
  • Oversee all vendor activities at the property.
  • Notify residents and management offices of any maintenance-related updates.
  • Perform maintenance tasks personally and delegate to assistants. Inspect work performed by assistants.
  • Schedule maintenance personnel in conjunction with the manager for emergency purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
  • Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant. Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc., to a dumpster when necessary using safety equipment.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle common repairs and situations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Appliance Repair, Electrical, Plumbing.
  • Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants. EPA Type III or Universal license.
  • Must have own basic tools: HVAC Gauges. Power Tools: Grinder, sander, drill, saws, etc.
