Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

At Eureka Multifamily Group, LP, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in maintenance and repair, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Job Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our apartment community, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are in good working order. This includes supervising a team of maintenance staff, coordinating maintenance schedules, and performing routine inspections to identify potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks to ensure that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend the lifespan of our facilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as leasing and management, to ensure that maintenance requests are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and ensure that all expenses are in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in the apartment industry.
  • HVAC certification required; EPA certification highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Working Conditions:

The Lead Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to work in a variety of weather conditions. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.
