Position: HVAC Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and set up new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Conduct inspections and execute repairs or replacements of equipment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Address emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Oversee the installation of large mini-split systems, which includes refrigeration piping, insulation, and control wiring.
  • Initiate start-up procedures for newly installed HVAC systems.
  • Carry out service repairs and diagnostic troubleshooting on existing HVAC systems.
  • Utilize relevant experience and knowledge of codes and specifications in the field.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC or related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams is essential.
  • Ability to manage a physically demanding workload.
  • Experience in running refrigeration piping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive mechanical knowledge is required.
  • Capability to navigate urban transit systems effectively.

Education:

  • A technical trade school diploma and training certificate is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting is necessary.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training is required.
