Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities may vary based on specific client needs and business requirements.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as required.
  • Safely utilize various kitchen utensils, including knives.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Employ various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming.
  • Present, garnish, and portion food according to established standards.
  • Store food properly, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Follow Aramark's safety policies and procedures, ensuring accurate food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.
  • Proven knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification.
  • Basic math and counting skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.


This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Additionally, uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
