About Us: Morehead City Treatment Center is an outpatient medication-assisted treatment program that provides substance abuse treatment to individuals with a substance use disorder of opiates.

We are committed to delivering the best possible care in a caring and therapeutic environment. Our team includes certified substance abuse counselors, licensed nurses, and a physician who work together to provide comprehensive treatment programs.

Job Description: We are searching for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to our mission. As a member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing medical support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications based on medical orders
  • Maintain management of medication inventory
  • Assist Medical Director in crisis interventions
  • Monitor patient demeanor during medication administration
  • Identify and report critical incidents to the Medical Director
  • Observe urine drug screens as needed
  • Follow state and federal guidelines governing Opioid Treatment Programs

Qualifications:

  • A registered Nursing License or Licensed Practical Nursing License is required from an accredited school
  • Valid NC nursing license
  • Ability to work independently as well as with the treatment team
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professional ethics and confidentiality as outlined by Federal Law
  • CPR/First Aid certification
