We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Newman Regional Health. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management services to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral health services to patients in a clinical setting, including inpatient and outpatient evaluations, follow-up care, and medication management.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder.
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate with providers, social workers, or other treatment team members to coordinate patient care.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, and outcome measures.
- Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or a related field.
- Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
- At least 1-2 years of experience providing direct patient care for persons receiving treatment for behavioral health disorders.
- Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH).
- Unrestricted license to practice in the state of Kansas.
- Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Kansas.
