Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Smart Data Solutions, a leading partner in healthcare process automation and interoperability. As a technology leader, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions to ensure a secure, efficient, and high-performing environment.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced systems administrator to take on a senior role and lead our IT team. You will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, serving as a technical leader and mentor to junior team members. With your extensive experience in systems administration, you will have a strong understanding of Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Your expertise in scripting and automation, combined with your problem-solving skills, will enable you to drive results through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide the systems administration team in maintaining and supporting servers, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure high standards of system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong expertise in Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, security principles, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
