At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment for our team members. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, and supplies to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Assist patients with preparation for physician visits and examinations, as directed by medical staff.
- Take and record patient vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical charts.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus Test devices.
- Perform laboratory testing, such as UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, filing and reporting as required.
- Assist with billing and collections procedures, as needed.
- Utilize computer software to manage office systems and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Modify and deliver care to meet the unique needs of our patient population, including age, culture, language, and other factors.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
- Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent certification required.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
