The Safety Professional is a critical role within M.C. Dean, Inc., responsible for overseeing Construction Project Safety, Health, and Risk Management. This position requires effective management of multiple Safety programs, developing and implementing comprehensive safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management to lead the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement site-specific project safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with Project Management to lead the ORM process, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct S&H training programs, regulatory compliance audits, and incident investigations to ensure a culture of safety within the organization.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Site Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans to meet project safety plan specs and requirements.
- Lead the ORM team in reviewing, interpreting, and developing project safety plans based on project, client/owner, Program Manager, and General Contractor (GC) specifications, design drawings, regulations, and existing safety systems.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in a related field, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience with an Associate's Degree or 0+ years with a Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience conducting S&H training, regulatory compliance, and safety management systems knowledge, skill, and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to computer screens for extended periods.
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms.
