Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Delivers high-quality nursing care to residents while respecting their rights, dignity, and personal choices.
  • Provides personalized attention that supports each resident's ability to achieve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Familiar with the individualized care plans for residents and offers support in accordance with these plans. Actively participates in the care planning process by sharing relevant observations and insights regarding residents' needs and preferences.
  • Assists with daily living activities (ADLs), including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must hold a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan-approved CNA training program and be eligible for certification within four months of hire.
  • One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Demonstrates reliability through punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Capable of maintaining a safe environment for residents and colleagues.
  • Able to assist in transporting residents and equipment as necessary.
