Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure every opportunity for organ donation is successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage organ referrals and obtain clinical information to determine medical suitability
  • Provide clinical assessment to determine organ viability and create case plans for organ referrals
  • Support staff through the referral process and provide education and information surrounding the donation process
  • Assist staff in identifying issues related to the donation process and create plans of action
  • Coordinate onsite staff for organ donors and referral activity
  • Ensure accurate and clear clinical documentation according to current policies and procedures
  • Facilitate necessary testing and services, and obtain and document authorization of organ and tissue donation
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives, meetings, educational activities, and required training
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year in Allied Health or graduate RN providing patient care in an acute care setting, or previous OPO clinical experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn and use technology such as computers, mobile devices, and related software for communication and documentation
  • Ability to function in an office environment and all hospital clinical practice areas
  • Ability to move donor from cart to bed with assistance, and to push/pull 75 lbs
Work Environment

This is a night shift position with occasional travel to hospitals and other meeting locations within Gift of Hope's service area. The ability to carry a personal cell phone to be accessible outside regular business hours is required.
