The Culinary Preparation Specialist plays a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring that each dish is crafted to perfection and contributes to an exceptional dining experience. This position is crucial for delivering a memorable and visually appealing meal that keeps guests returning for more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Chefs with various culinary tasks and follow their directives.
  • Prepare all assigned menu items as directed by the Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Properly store, label, and rotate prepped items in compliance with health regulations and company standards.
  • Minimize waste and communicate effectively with the culinary team.
  • Report any inconsistencies in product quality or deliveries to the Chefs and Purchasing department.
  • Execute all menu items for designated cooking stations.
  • Understand and adhere to workplace safety and emergency protocols.
  • Read and interpret food tickets accurately.
  • Utilize standardized recipe cards and apply proper cooking techniques.
  • Ensure all food products meet our high-quality standards, resulting in positive guest feedback.
  • Maintain timely service from the kitchen to the dining area.
  • Complete all assigned tasks before the end of the shift and communicate departure with the supervising Chef.
  • Consistently uphold daily cleaning and organizational standards in both storage and production areas.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with health department regulations.
  • Support fellow kitchen staff with cleaning, cooking, and food preparation as needed.
  • Adhere to all health department sanitation requirements while performing duties.
  • Approach all tasks with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism.
  • Foster good communication with teammates and management.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Prepare family meals twice daily, recycling ingredients as guided by the Chefs.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining environment is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with guests and coworkers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
  • Capability to stand and maintain mobility for extended periods, up to 8 hours, while sustaining a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
  • Willingness to work shifts of 8 hours or more.
