Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse RN Job Description

Job Summary:

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team. As a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes, assisting them with transitioning from the hospital and providing continuous care to remain at home with their loved ones.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
  • Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems and concerns

Requirements:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
