Responsibilities:
As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service, practicing safe food handling procedures, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge and preparation techniques. Your duties will include receiving, storing, and grinding meats, unloading and transporting fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks, counting and weighing incoming articles, and examining meats in storage to ensure they are rotated properly.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess basic math skills. You should also be dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, you should have good communication skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 90 pounds.
