Position Summary:
The Sanitation Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within our facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This position is integral to the overall operational efficiency of Riviana Foods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Riviana Foods' Safety and Accident Prevention Guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness in break rooms, laboratories, and office spaces.
  • Regularly empty trash receptacles and shredders in office areas.
  • Conduct routine cleaning of the plant, including trash disposal.
  • Perform weekly wall cleaning from ceiling to floor.
  • Remove spider webs and ensure the front parking area is tidy.
  • Assist in the inventory and ordering of personal protective equipment and sanitation supplies.
  • Support operators in maintaining clean equipment and managing product spills.
  • Execute tasks outlined in the Master Cleaning Procedures.
  • Ensure bathrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and cleaned daily.
  • Clean roll-up doors, floor drains, lights, and fixtures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the roof, gutters, and ventilation systems.
  • Clean air conditioning pipes and forklifts as needed.
  • Inspect wooden structures for maintenance needs.
  • Assist in maintaining the water supply for the cooler in the laboratory.
  • Forklift experience is advantageous; training is available for the right candidate.
