Bookstore Associate

Hudson Group is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bookstore Associate to join our team at San Francisco International Airport. As a Bookstore Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and promoting books to customers.

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making book recommendations, and processing transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving books, dusting, and sweeping.
• Assist with store recovery and cleanliness, including organizing and straightening merchandise.
• Communicate book inventory issues to management in a timely manner.
• Follow all cash handling policies and procedures, and follow all Loss Prevention procedures to prevent loss of merchandise and minimize shrink.
• Be knowledgeable and familiar with the surrounding businesses within the facility.
• Maintain attendance and be available to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to interact with diverse personalities and build relationships with team members and customers.
• Love of reading and talking about books.
• Proficiency in the operation of a cash register and computer skills.
• High degree of interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time as well as repetitive bending and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Prior cashiering/cash handling experience required.
