About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client's team in the Renewable Energy industry. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, managing relationships with external accounting service providers, and collaborating with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Management: Conduct research on and apply accounting standards for complex transactions, and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • External Relationships: Manage relationships with multiple external accounting service providers, ensuring services are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring audit findings are resolved promptly, and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in the US and with global parent company.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide coaching and supervise specific workstreams handled by the accounting associate.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting/audit experience required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Renewable/Energy/Infrastructure/Power & Utilities industry experience preferred.
  • Skills: Impeccable attention to detail, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, advanced Excel skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
