Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief of Engineering to oversee the hotel facility, monitor and control parts and labor expenditures, and manage the department within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the hotel facility, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and control parts and labor expenditures, ensuring that the department operates within budget.
  • Manage the engineering department, supervising and coordinating the work of engineers and technicians.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair plans to ensure that the hotel's systems and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the hotel's facilities and services meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in hotel, institutional, or HVAC systems.
  • Refrigeration, HVAC certification.
  • Previous management experience of 2-4 years.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, preventative maintenance systems, and all related engineering disciplines.
  • Budget management experience, cost control, and financial responsibility experience.
  • Stationary engineering license required.
  • Information technology skills preferred.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public and other employees.
  • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
  • Computer skills and administrative skills.
