Polysomnographic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas in Tennessee. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for testing, and collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
Responsibilities- Perform and document sleep studies, including preparing patients and equipment for testing.
- Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
- Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies.
- Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing.
- Determine and report needed repairs or replacements.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credential from the Tennessee Polysomnography Professional Standards Committee within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
