The City of Manhattan is seeking a dedicated individual to support the maintenance and cleanliness of various municipal facilities. This role is essential in ensuring that locations such as City Hall and community centers are well-kept and functional for public use.
Salary Information
Starting Salary Range: $19.30/hour, depending on qualifications.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
As a Facility Maintenance Specialist, you will:
- Perform routine custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness across city facilities.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment, including vacuums and floor scrubbers.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols regarding cleaning materials and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies.
- Prepare facilities for meetings and events.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Participating in special projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintaining outdoor areas, including snow removal and general upkeep.
- Conducting regular safety checks on fire extinguishers and emergency equipment.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Six months of experience in custodial or building maintenance roles.
